Product, brand, and launch

Building the product, the brand, and the demand at the same time.

Kittyo began as an ambitious idea: let cat owners see, speak to, play with, record, and reward their cats from anywhere. LMC took that idea through identity, digital experience, film, crowdfunding, marketing, and international launch.

Overview

An idea only becomes real when every part connects.

Kittyo was not a conventional client assignment. It was a patented product and a brand built from the ground up. Product story, identity, website, app experience, campaign, film, press, and fulfillment all had to tell the same story and move forward together.

The idea

Turn distance into play.

Kittyo gave cat owners a new way to interact remotely through a smartphone. A built-in camera, speaker, laser, recording tools, and treat dispenser transformed a practical pet monitor into a playful two-way experience.

The build

Create an entire brand around one useful promise.

LMC led the brand development, including the logo, graphics, website, promotional films, and marketing materials. Every touchpoint made the product easy to understand while preserving the humor and affection at the center of the idea.

The launch

Use crowdfunding as proof, not just financing.

The Kickstarter campaign introduced the product clearly, demonstrated how it worked, and gave early adopters a reason to participate. The campaign raised more than $270,000 from over 2,400 backers and led to 3,000 devices delivered worldwide.

The reach

From a founder’s idea to an international story.

Kittyo was sold through Amazon, BestBuy.com, and Pet Valu, and received coverage in more than 300 publications across 35-plus countries. It appeared on The View, was featured by outlets including The Wall Street Journal, ABC News, and Discovery Channel, and even became a Jeopardy clue.
